Radyr School, Cardiff

Axis was appointed by Portakabin to deliver the façade package for the new Radyr School in Cardiff. Constructed using modular building methods, the project required a high-performance external envelope that combined modern aesthetics with efficient installation.

The Solution
Axis manufactured and installed its Axiom Y aluminium rainscreen system to the upper elevations, creating a sleek, secret-fix façade with clean lines and efficient installation. A brick slip cladding system was incorporated at lower level, creating a complementary finish that balanced modern design with a more traditional appearance.

The Outcome
The completed façade delivers a durable, visually striking finish that enhances the school’s architectural identity while supporting the speed and efficiency of modular construction. The combination of Axiom Y rainscreen cladding and brick slips has created a high-quality learning environment designed to perform for years to come.
